OUR COMMITMENT TO ELIMINATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING
In His Image Justice Coalition is committed to support law enforcement, prosecutors, and legislators in the fight against human trafficking. We desire to listen to and understand the barriers and complexities inherent to this problem. By establishing dialogue, creating educational campaigns, and raising funds for increased law enforcement efforts, we are determined to meet this need with real solutions.
IHIJC’s aim, through ongoing research, is to identify cities and municipalities that have successfully implemented a No Demand approach, and from their successes and failures, to create guidelines for a pilot program that can be implemented in Burlington County. IHIJC also seeks to see every police officer in NJ trained, not only in awareness of human trafficking, but with specific skills to enable them to identify traffickers and gather the evidence needed to convict them.
POLICE TRAINING
Did you know???
Only 8% of law enforcement across the US are trained to identify traffickers and to gather the evidence needed to convict them? That means that 92% do not have the skills to do so. How will we ever stop human trafficking if law enforcement is not trained? IHIJC is committed to seeing that every police officer in NJ receives intensive training in human trafficking.
Our current police trainings include:
Rowan College of South Jersey, Sewell, NJ, February 2026
ArchDiocese of Newark/Mercy House, Lyndhurst, NJ, September 2025
Caesars, Atlantic City, NJ, September 2024
Rowan College at Burlington County, Mt. Laurel, NJ, August 2023
